Gęsia Szyja (1490 m n.p.m.) jest jednym ze szczytów Tatr Wysokich położonym po polskiej stronie granicy polsko – słowackiej. Na tle innych szczytów Tatr Wysokich jest to niski szczyt.

Gęsia Szyja (1490 m above sea level) is one of the peaks of the High Tatras, located on the Polish side of the Polish-Slovak border. It is a low peak compared to other peaks of the High Tatras.

Zaletą Gęsiej Szyi jest fakt, że ten szczyt leży na uboczu Tatr Wysokich, leży on też pomiędzy masywem Tatr Wysokich a Kotliną Podhalańską (Podhale).

The advantage of Gęsia Szyja is the fact that this peak lies on the sidelines of the High Tatras, it is also situated between the High Tatras massif - view above and the Podhale Valley (Podhale) - view below.

Z szczytu Gęsiej Szyi widać z jednej strony szczyty Tatr Wysokich po polskiej stronie, z drugiej strony widać szczyty Tatr Wysokich po słowackiej stronie granicy, jak na zdjęciu poniżej.

From the top of Gęsia Szyja you can see the peaks of the High Tatras on the Polish side on one side, on the other, you can see the peaks of the High Tatras on the Slovak side of the border, view below.

Jednocześnie widać daleko piękną perspektywę Tatr Bielskich. 

Pasmo górskie Tatr Bielskich jest w całości położone na terenie Słowacji.

At the same time you can see the beautiful perspective of the Belianske Tatras. 

The mountain range of the Belianske Tatras is entirely located in Slovakia.

Warto wejść na szczyt Gęsiej Szyi od strony pięknej Rusinowej Polany, jak widac na zdjęciu poniżej malowniczo położonego miejsca widokowego, z miejscem do odpoczynku.

12 czerwca 2022 r. ruszyłem na Gęsią Szyję z nisko położnej Palenicy Białczańskiej, gdzie znajduje się końcowy przystanek busów jadących pod masyw Tatr Wysokich.

Wcześniej chodziłem tego dnia od rana po Tatrach Wysokich po stronie słowackiej, dopiero po południu przeszedłem do Polski przez rzekę Białkę i ruszyłem na Gęsią Szyję. W czerwcu są długie dni, a po południu, po 5 zaczyna się dobre światło i zmniejsza się upał.

On June 12, 2022, I went to Gęsia Szyja from the low-lying Palenica Białczańska, where there is the final stop of buses going to the High Tatras massif.

Earlier that day, from the morning I walked in the High Tatras on the Slovak side, only in the afternoon I crossed the Białka River to Poland and went to Goose Neck.

There are long days in June, and in the afternoon, after 5 p.m., good light starts and the heat decreases.

Niosłem plecak i ekwipunek, gdy młodzi ludzie bez plecaków mnie mijali... to ja czułem zazdrość:) Tak bez plecaka, super ma ta młoda dziewczyna.

I was carrying a backpack and equipment, when young people without backpacks passed me ... I felt jealous :) Yes, without a backpack, this young girl is great.

Trasa

Moim zdaniem warto z Polany Białczańskiej wyruszyć szlakiem niebieskim na Rusinową Polanę, a potem szlakiem zielonym z Rusinowej Polanyna szczyt Gęsiej Szyi.

Proponuję potem zejść z Gęsiej Szyi szlakiem zielonym na Polanę Waksmundzką.

Następnie polecam 2 godzinny marsz szlakiem czerwonym przez Dolinę Pańszczycy, potem czarnym szlakiem lub czerwonym szlakiem, aż do zamieszkałych obszarów. Marsz przez Dolinę Pańszczycy opisałem już w 2018 roku na moim blogu.

In my opinion, it is worth following the blue trail from Polana Białczańska to Rusinowa Polana, and then along the green trail from Rusinowa Polana to the top of Gęsia Szyja.

Then I suggest you go down the green trail from Gęsia Szyja to Polana Waksmundzka.

Then I recommend a 2-hour walk along the red trail through the valley of Pańszczyca, then along the black trail or the red trail to inhabited areas.

Jego układ. Jest to szczyt podłużny, z pięknymi widokami.

Wchodzi się na niego dość ostro pod górę po schodach, idąc ostro od Polany Rusinowej.

It is entered quite sharply up the stairs, going sharply from Polana Rusinowa.

Widoki są piękne od samego początku podejścia.

Zarówno na Rusinową Polanę.

Jak i na Tatry Bielskie na Słowacji.

The views are beautiful from the very beginning of the climb.

Potem szlak zielony prowadzi nas w las. Idzie się nadal dość ostro pod górę.

Nieco wyżej pojawiają się piękne kwiaty na skraju szlaku.

Then the green trail leads us into the forest. You still go quite steep uphill.

Beautiful flowers appear a little higher at the edge of the trail.

Po około 25 - 30 minutach dość stromego podejścia warto się odwrócić…

After about 25-30 minutes of quite a steep climb, it is worth turning around ...

Jest tam sporo skałek tworzących piękne formy skalne.

Podoba mi się piękny widok na sąsiedni szczyt Wołoszyn (2155 m n.p.m.).

Góra Wołoszyn to podłużny, długi na ponad kilometr masyw górski, a zarazem szczyt Tatr Wysokich, położony w całości na terenie Polski.

Z jednej strony Góra Wołoszyn a z drugiej góra Koszysta (2193 m n.p.m.) zamyka ulubione miejsce niedźwiedzi czyli Dolinę Waksmundzką. Dolina ta schodzi w dół tuż pod zboczami Gęsiej Szyi, aż do innej ostoi niedźwiedzi czyli do Doliny Białki.

W osobnym wpisie opiszę Rusinową Polanę oraz Waksmundzki Potok.

Kilka lat temu, na moim blogu, już pisałem o masywie góry Wołoszyn.

I like the beautiful view of the peak Wołoszyn (2155 m above sea level).

Góra Wołoszyn is an oblong - over one kilometer long -  mountain massif, its the peak of the High Tatras, located entirely in Poland.

On the one hand, Mount Wołoszyn, and on the other, Mount Koszysta (2,193 m above sea level), closes the favorite place of bears - the Waksmundzka Valley. This valley descends right under the slopes of Gęsia Szyja, to another bear refuge, - the Białka Valley (Dolina Białki).

In a separate entry, I will describe Rusinowa Polana and Waksmundzki Potok.

Gęsia Szyja jest piękna, bo jest:

ponętna i widać z niej piękno Tatr.
